The fact: Pime celebrates 150 years in the Chinese land
Milan-Hong Kong single journey

In the interview, Gianni Criveller briefly reports the history of Pime in Hong Kong, focusing on some fundamental aspects: evangelization, priests training, social and educational commitment. In these sectors some missionaries distinguished themselves particularly: In the cultural field f. Volonteri and f. Maglioni, in the educational field f. Maestrini, in the social and charitative field f. Tapella, Lambertoni and Lerda (who contributed to the growth of Caritas presence in the territory). In the books "Il Pime e la perla d'Oriente" (Pime and the Oriental Pearl) by f. Sergio Tcozzi and "Da Milano ad Hong Kong, 150 anni di Missione" (From Milan to Hong Kong, 150 years of mission) by f. Criveller himself, we can find a lot of historical and bibliografical news about Pime presence in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Pime community look very attentively at China, which was one of the basic missions of the Institute: hard commitment, as, in China, people are not allowed to operate freely.
