A country before the trial bar: Cambodia
by Alberto Caccaro

Within much adverse criticism and few hopes the judges of the International Court continue their work on Red Khmer’s genocide. There are too many interferences from a political power who has no interest in bringing the past to light. The Court will be able to judge only the events between April 17-1975, day of arrival of Red Khmer in Phnom Penh, and January 6- 1978, day before the fall of Pol Pot. Since the beginning, Cambodian Government has worked to avoid  the trial to impact on Cambodian population.
